Credit Bearing: Yes (submitted through NTU Attachment Office). For non-credit bearing internship, ARISE accepts Summer Internship.


  • Social Science Track (Conduct of User study with the project stakeholder e.g., the older adults in the community)

  • Development Track (Mobile App / Web App Prototype Development)



  • Open to all interested students, especially 3rd / 4th year and graduate students.

Internship Role: ELP (Experiential Learning Programmes) Management & Business Development Intern


Period: Varies from 8 weeks to 12 weeks (from May to July 2023)


Credit Bearing: No


Description: The intern will be trained to support our ELP team to design and manage our programmes, as well as provide business development support to the team.



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Preferable competent in a Second Language, written and verbal

  • Familiar with Google Suite and / or Microsoft Office Suite, especially Powerpoint and Excel

  • People-orientedness

  • A growth-oriented mindset

  • Prior experience in project management and / or business development will be preferred

  • Prior experience in at least one or more of the following areas: service learning, facilitation, community development, marketing and / or business development, social causes and youth development will be preferred



  • 5 working days a week (Monday to Friday from 9.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.)

  • Hybrid working arrangements, in-person and remotely

  • Remuneration for university students; $1,000 / month

Internship Role: Volunteer & Community Engagement Intern


Period: May - August 2023


Application Period: February - April 2023


Description: This position will work closely with the volunteer managers from SG Cares Volunteer Centre @ Toa Payoh, Woodlands and Tampines in the day-to-day operations.  The intern will be involved in volunteer recruitment and deployment, managing signature volunteer programmes, supporting training & curriculum development and events operations as well as other administrative duties as assigned.


Learning Opportunities:

  • Acquire insights related to volunteer management

  • Develop project management competencies

  • Exposure to social service sector

  • Exposure to working with community partners


Requirements (preferably):

  • Have interest in the social sector

  • Able to work independently and in a team

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Willingness to work on Saturdays

  • Basic proficiency in MS Office applications and have ability to learn other software like Salesforce, Wix



  • Work Days: Monday to Friday

  • Working Hours: 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

  • Minimum qualification: Current undergraduate

Internship Role: Marketing Communication Intern / Digital Marketing Intern


Period: Minimum 3 months


Description: We are looking for a Marketing Communications Intern to assist in our online and offline communication with stakeholders (service users, donors, volunteers and community partners) to increase awareness of our programmes, raise funds, attract talent and volunteers.


Learning Opportunities:

  • Curate and design thinking campaigns on various media to promote our services and programmes, and recruit volunteers

  • Create engaging content for our social media channels


Requirements (preferably):

  • A strong storyteller in words and image

  • Proficient in using Canva or other design and graphic tools

  • Experienced with video editing or enjoy doing it

  • Curious, enthusiastic and display strong initiative



  • Working Hours: 9.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.

  • Option of working 2 days from home
