Overview

Are you passionate about closing the digital divide for 30 million people? The Covid-19 pandemic has accelerated the digital divide. Given the global transformation to a digital economy, it is crucial to close this digital divide among the most vulnerable groups such as youths, at-risk workers, and the currently unemployed. Since 2019, Sustainable Living Lab has been commissioned to roll out an internationally recognized and validated AI Readiness program into educational and career readiness institutions globally. Our goal is to reach 30 million people by 2030, and as such, we are attempting to build a core team out of Singapore to ramp up the program in Asia (with a focus on East Asia), working with a US MNC giant.

  • Attend to drop-in/call-in migrants and detail their WICA/non-WICA cases (training will be provided)

  • Follow-up with cases as necessary. Follow-up may include accompanying migrants to the ICA, MOM, hospitals, their employer’s offices and in addition facilitate outings.

  • Assist in the operations of the Geylang/Desker Food Project, a daily free meal program for injured and out-of-work migrant workers.

  • Assist in our social service programmes such as Geylang/Desk food project, Phone Top-Ups, Ezlink Top-Ups and distributing groceries during dormitory visits.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or above at the start of the internship

  • Support in the development and execution of HealthServe’s integrated communications & marketing strategies and associated work plans aimed at supporting and serving our migrant worker community; engaging the wider HealthServe community which includes our donors and volunteers.

  • Work closely with various teams (i.e. medical, mental health, casework) to understand and address their priorities and needs through communications & marketing across channels (e.g. websites, social media)

  • Actively support in the planning and development of multi-cultural, multi-format content (e.g. social media posts, photo/ video stories) as well as management of channels and communities .

The Social Impact Internship Stipend (SIIS) allows you to explore a meaningful career (at a social service agency or a social enterprise) that creates social impact and shared values, while gaining real-world experiences.

 

You can do it in three simple steps:

 

Seek -  Self-source or visit the CAO Internship Portal

Secure - Attain a full-time internship that is at least 8 weeks long

Apply - Submit your SIIS application at least 6 weeks before the internship begins
